Green design and great music come together at the world’s first CO2 neutral festival, CO2PENHAGEN.
During the weekend 5-6 september some of Denmarks greatest acts will join the fight for a carbon neutral future: TV-2, Lars H.U.G, Mikael Simpson, Dúné, Camille Jones, Szhirley and 40 other bands and DJ’s. And from the U.S. the indie legends Mercury Rev will perform two exclusive concerts with music and films especially made for CO2PENHAGEN!
Saturday evening we also present the world’s first CO2 neutral football game, when we show the game between Denmark – Portugal.
An innovative showcase of green technology, CO2PENHAGEN is a music/arts festival that runs entirely on renewable energy. The goal is to demonstrate how design can be used to realize the potential of existing green technologies.
It all takes place in a CO2-neutral miniature society surrounded by art and music that is located just outside of Copenhagen. The festival is an entertaining event that proves that green energy can coincide with great design.
Programme:Saturday, you can start the day as early as 9:30 with a giant bicycle parade from Kongens Nytorv to the festival. organic breakfast funk, diskobus and karma gun. The festival opens at 12 noon and hits its peak when TV-2 warms up with a bang of a concert before we show the football match between Denmark-Portugal on a giant big screen. Other key acts Saturday, includes Mercury Rev, Camille Jones, Master Fatman and Bjørn Svin.
At noon Sunday, you can experience super cool jazz from London with Mads Kjølby Jazz Trio in the lounge area. Then the program really kicks in gear with concerts by, among others, Szhirley, Mikael Simpson, Lars. H.U.G, Grand Avenue and Dúné.

There is free transportation for festival guests from Nørreport Station to the festival site all weekend with Bus 150S.
Children under the age of 12 get in free in company with an adult.
