A major trade fair, CODE09 displays the best Danish and international design from the 27 – 30 August in Bella Center.

In 2009, the focus of the CODE09 trade fair will, in particular, be on an exhibition of Nordic design. The exhibition, Nordic Selected, will show the best design within the last decade with curators from Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Denmark. In addition, innovative international design of all types will be shown, not least commercial design that takes account of environmental and social responsibility both in its products and value chain. The international design group ʻDesignboomʼ will also be present with an exhibition of 35 international design talents.

There will also be a strong education aspect with The Technical University of Denmark presenting new ideas for sustainable transport, sustainable construction components and an innovative surgical instrument which is easier to hold for the surgeon. In addition, Krabbesholm Højskole will be showing an exhibition based around the school's own brand-new exhibition facility designed by the young Japanese firm of architects Atelier Bow-Wow.
