COPENHAGEN FURNITURE FESTIVAL
3 September - 6 September 2009 A ʻmobileʼ furniture festival; guests are transported to special locations and showrooms around Copenhagen for free, where they can experience the best of the Danish and international furniture industry. In this way, the city itself is the exhibition space. Copenhagen Furniture Festival will also put the spotlight on upcoming designers at the NONCOMMON exhibition.
The exhibitions are based in galleries, warehouses and in the normally “closed for the public” design showrooms where the latest trends, ideas and innovative news from the European furniture world are exhibited.
NONCOMMON will highlight new and experimental design from the fields of textile, lighting and furniture design. This is an exhibition of design talents from Denmark who are engaging with the themes of sustainability, new technology and interaction design. NONCOMMON will take place at Copenhagenʼs Town Hall Square and will include a prize giving by well-known judges.
